JEAN VIOLET

JEAN VIOLET – LEAD VOCALS

By age 18, Jean was performing in the top clubs of Pittsburgh, PA with the original rock band Avante Garde. After this initial musical endeavor, Jean relocated to New York City where he formed Naked City, which later became one of the hottest hard-rock bands on the early 90s NYC circuit. Later, he was recruited to travel to Japan for World XXI where he signed a contract with Polydor Records and recorded and toured Japan and the US.

After his Japanese tenure, Jean assembled Time of Dying. With TOD, Jean performed at Madison Square Garden for the home games of the NY City Hawks Arena Football in 1997. He has done extensive studio work, radio spots, and commercials—including a Heineken ad that aired during the 2001 Grammy Awards broadcast (it continues to air around the globe).

Jean is also involved with an original band/project called Violet Sunn Armada which is planning to release their debut EP and website in the not too distant future.
